Stop, Swap & Roll with a Giveaway!

Welcome to the second Stop, SWAP & Roll!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the participants who have put so much time and effort into making this happen!

I had the AMAZING opportunity to swap products with Laura from

She is seriously adorable! I love reading her blog and all the amazing ideas she has. If you're not following her blog yet then click on the cute button above to follow her! Trust me, you don't want to pass it up!

Laura is a mother, wife & teacher who loves helping kids forget that they are learning by having fun!
Have you ever wondered how Laura came up with her blog/store name? Well, she is very passionate about differentiation and believes that it is important to make it easier for teachers to achieve this...That's why she has so many wonderful differentiated products in her store!

Just like everyone else did with their partner, I got to choose one product of my choice from Laura's TPT store to share with you today. She has so many fun games and activities in her store, it was a hard choice!!

Hi. My name is Melissa and I'm a play dough addict.
I'm seriously a sucker for all things play dough! So when I came across Laura's Interactive Play Dough Mats I could not pass up her Pirates pack!

This is such a great hands-on approach to math and, let's be honest, what student doesn't LOVE squeezing and playing with play dough!? (AND we can't forget about all of the fine motor benefits of it too!)

This is seriously jam packed with so many amazing resources! There are a lot of different ways it can be used too, which is what I love about it!

Laura has included different mats to print out (b&w are also included, which is a definite bonus!)

Students can choose a number cards up to 20 and make the corresponding number in pirate coins for the treasure chest by using play dough.  (Of course we used yellow play dough!)

10-frame cards are also included up to 20. I found these adorable PINK coins at Dollar Tree that definitely add to the fun of this pack! I searched all over their "party section" and could NOT find any other colors! That store can definitely be hit and miss.

Laura has also included addition cards. I love the hands on approach this allows students to have while practicing number sentences! Amazing for all your kinesthetic learners!

There are individual mats to allow students to make play dough numbers (you could always use a dry erase marker to draw/color the number). What little kid doesn't love making "snakes" with play dough!? They just can't get enough.

After making the number, you could also use these adorable pirate cards that are included, or any other manipulative you have on hand, for one-to-one correspondence practice.

That's not even all. Laura has included 6 fabulous extension activities to go along with the mats! Students will count the number of pirates and coins then write the number, read the numeral and draw that number of pirates, trace numbers and write answers to addition sentences.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you have fallen in love with Laura's play dough mats like I have!

Product Swap Anyone!? (Sign Up Before It's Too Late!)

WOW! What a year this has been already!

My husband and I enjoyed the holidays filled with family and fun, (I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season with your family as well!) then we packed up everything and MOVED last weekend! My husband is now starting his last clinical rotation for Grad school! WHOOP! We can see the light at the end now!

Although it's been a crazy couple of weeks, we are definitely enjoying the warmer weather here instead of the snow we just left:

Our internet has FINALLY been hooked up at our new place (sorry I'm just now able to post this for those who have been waiting!) and we're now unpacked and have even hung up pictures already! Yay!

So last November I hosted my first Product Swap:

**You MUST have a TPT store with at least 20 (paid) products listed.
**You MUST be willing to swap one product from your store, of your partners choosing, with your partner (I will pair you with someone in the same grade category) and you will get to choose one product from their store in return.
**You MUST print their product, take pictures of their product IN ACTION and then make a great blog post about it, including pictures and why your readers can't live without it THEN post it and link it up on the date I give you.
**You MUST be willing to allow your partner to give 1 of their lucky readers your product for FREE in a giveaway that will be hosted on your partners blog. (That means you will also host a giveaway of the item you chose from your partner on your blog as well) I will include more details on how to do this after you sign up.

Please make sure that whichever one you choose that you have products for that grade level in your store. (Depending on how doing 2 different swaps goes this time around, I may add another one for the next steps people, baby steps)

PLEASE do NOT sign up unless you are committed and able to have everything posted on time. If you would like to seen an example of what is expected, click here.

This Product Swap will go LIVE on JANUARY 31st! That means you will need to have your blog post ready and live on that date. If, for any reason you will not be able to do that, please wait until the next swap to sign up.

As soon as I get enough bloggers in each category, that category will close, so get in while you can!
